Local vineyards started sprouting up on Salt Spring over the past decade when growers discovered our spectacular Mediterranean climate.

Salt Spring Vineyards located on Lee Road just off the Fulford-Ganges Road invites you to experience a complimentary wine tasting of Salt Spring grown grapes, blackberries or apples. Their produce is herbicide and pesticide free. Their wines are hand-crafted with 100% love.

During the summer, they have special events such as live music and extended tours scheduled almost every day. You can also purchase local cheeses and other local food products at the winery to enjoy: pair them with a glass of wine and picnic in the vineyard.

Gary Oaks Estate Winery was established in 1999 on one of Salt Spring's oldest farms at the south end on Fulford-Ganges Road. A stand of Garry Oaks trees that was preserved on the vineyard gives the winery estate its name.

They produce naturally, small lots of original wines.......classically inspired wines with a spirit of adventure. You are invited to visit their terraced vineyard overlooking the beautiful Burgoyne Valley, walk their labyrinth, and taste our award-winning wines.
